In July 2019 Caerphilly (South Wales) was awarded "plastic-free community" status by a marine conservation charity, following the town’s campaign to reduce single-use plastic. So how did they do it?
Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland has local groups in around 200 neighbourhoods. That makes us the largest grassroots environmental campaigning community in the UK.
Friends of the Earth supports the right of individuals and organisations to take part in peaceful protest and nonviolent direct action where this is likely to support the achievement of its objectives.
